Monoskop has prepared a two-part session exploring [https://beastfilm.pt/news?header=15 Eastern European media culture through the lens of music video] for the third edition of the [http://beastfilm.pt/ Beast film festival] in [[Porto]]. Motivated by the lack of recognition of this medium in film festival circuits, the programme featured thirty works from Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Georgia and elsewhere created between 1980 and 2019. The festival organiser, [[OKNA]], is a unique centre for East European culture ran by a large, vibrant collective of local and migrant cultural workers.

Design

The Monoskop skin has gone through several iterations. It was originally inspired by the Wikipedia identity design by Moving Brands and Michael Murtaugh's modifications to the MediaWiki Monobook skin. The current version uses Peter Biľak's font Fedra Sans for the body text and Viviana Monsalve and Gustavo Ibarra's Enriqueta for the headings.
