Fluxus Festival, Galeria Akumulatory 2, 28 Nov - 1 Dec 1977. [1]

Galeria Akumulatory 2 was a gallery in Poznań. Between 1972 and 1990, it hosted numerous solo exhibitions of international conceptual artists and the Fluxus Festival in 1977. The founder and curator was Jarosław Kozłowski, a Polish conceptual artist. Between 1981 and 1990, it was co-curated by Hanna Łuczak, a Polish intermedia artist and drawing lecturer at the University of Arts in Poznań.

The gallery, which operated in the current building of DS "Jowita", was one of the most important venues for the presentation of alternative art in Poland in the 1970s and 1980s. Developing outside of the official circuit, the gallery presented the works of such artists as John Blake, Victor Burgin, Yoko Ono, John Hilliard, Krzysztof Wodiczko or Tadeusz Kalinowski. The idea behind the initiative, formulated in 1971 by Jarosław Kozłowski and Andrzej Kostołowski, evolved into a quasi-institution which, thanks to the positive attitude of the Adam Mickiewicz University, also involved art history students of the time (Piotr Piotrowski, Andrzej Jur, Tadeusz Matuszczak).

The gallery took its name from the famous neon sign on the dormitory building at 7 Zwierzyniecka Street.
