Started in 2005, ""xfilm festival"" is the only festival in Bulgaria to promote and distribute European and international new media, experimental audiovisual and cinematographic productions and experimental film. The format of the festival provides opportunities for the presentation and discussion of innovative approaches, models and scenarios for the development of a creative meeting point for the media, culture and society.
Co-founders of the festival are Krassimir Terziev and Rene Beekman.
The festival is an activity of the GMT+2 Foundation and in 2005 was co-organized by Art Fest.
