Kurd Alsleben
Born 1928 in Neumark. Started 1949 his studies of Fine Art at the Academy of Fine Art, Karlsruhe, class of Otto Laible. 1960 collaboration with a physicist Cord Passow on computer drawings at DESY, Hamburg, the first computer graphics in Germany. They worked on an analog computer which was linked to an automatic drafting unit and transformed parameters of a differential equation into deviations and disturbances. Later collaboration with Helmar Frank and Abraham Moles. Design of an information typography (later expanded as monitor typografphy). Since 1965 teaching positions, 1970 professor at the Academy of Fine Art Hamburg, 1980 marriage and collaboration with Antje Eske.
