Sabeth Buchmann is an art historian and critic, and professor for the history of modern and postmodern at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna. She is a board member of the German art magazine Texte zur Kunst, the European Kunsthalle, Vienna, and acting as second managing director of the Austrian Ludwig Foundation. Buchmann is regularly contributing to scientific volumes, art magazines and art catalogues. Among her recent publications are Erprobte Formen oder Kunst als Infrastruktur des Ästhetischen (Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther König, 2022), Broken Relations: Infrastructure, Aesthetic, and Critique (co-ed., Spector Books, 2022), and Putting Rehearsals to the Test. Practices of Rehearsal in Fine Arts, Film, Theater, Theory, and Politics (co-ed., Sternberg Press, 2016). (2022)
