Free-lance curator, critic,writer, and foodie based in [[Rotterdam]]. Holds a BA from Tel-Aviv University (Israel) in English Literature (feminist literary criticism and women's poetry) and an MA in Queer and Gender Theory (Sexual Dissidence and Cultural Change) from Sussex University (UK). Completed a two-year research term at the Theory Department of the Jan van Eyck Academy in [[Maastricht]], focusing on the creation of new public context for technological art. Has worked as a sex educator, bookshopkeeper and free-lance journalist writing on the subjects of gender, new media and art. From January 2000 till July 2002 she worked as a project manager and curator at [[V2]]_Organisation, Institute for Unstable Media in Rotterdam, and has free-lanced for Axis, Bureau for Gender and the Arts in Amsterdam for which she recently edited the reader Ctrl+Shift Art - Ctrl+Shift Gender: Convergences of New Media, Art and Gender. Has published articles in off- and online media, and has given presentations on the subject of media technology, art, and gender (inter)nationally. She is a founding member of Stichting FoAM in Amsterdam, sister organisation of Foam > VZW.

Her writing has been published amongst others in ''Bidoun, ArtAsiaPacific, Art Papers, Canvas, X-tra, The Majalla, Art Margins'' and ''Harper’s Bazaar Arabia''. She has also written numerous catalogue and monographic essays on artists from the Middle East. With Alessandro Ludovico she edited ''the Mag.net Reader2: Between Paper and Pixel'' (2007), and ''Mag.net Reader3: Processual Publishing, Actual Gestures'' (2009), based on a series of debates organized at Documenta XII. She has taught at universities and academies in The Netherlands and the Middle East, and has curated video and film screenings for projects and festivals internationally, including for Rotterdam's International Film Festival, Norwegian Short Film Festival and Video D.U.M.B.O. She is a board member of the IMPAKT Media Festival (Utrecht), and sits on the advisory board of Artterritories (Ramallah), the arts organization TENT (Rotterdam), and is a member of selection committee of the Mondriaan Fund (NL) and the Fund for Creative Industries and e-Culture (NL). In 2012 she curated Spectral Imprints for the Abraaj Group Capital Art Prize 2012 in Dubai and in 2013 Iraqi artist Adel Abidin's highly anticipated solo exhibition I love to love… at Forum Box in Helsinki. Nat Muller is editorial correspondent for Ibraaz and most recently was a speaker on BBC World's award-winning program The Doha Debates. Forthcoming projects in 2014 are Memory Material at Akinci Gallery (Amsterdam), Customs Made: Quotidian Practices and Everyday Rituals at Maraya Art Center (Sharjah) and Global Positions II (Beirut) at the Stedelijk Museum Bureau, as well as a residency at the Delfina Foundation for the Politics of Food Program.

Nat Muller is an independent curator and critic. Her main interests include: the intersections of aesthetics, media and politics; media art and contemporary art in and from the Middle East.
