Jiří Žák (1989) is an artist based in Prague. He works mainly with video and narrative, based on specific political issues. Jiří Žák graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. He took part in internships under the guidance of Ruth Noack, Isaac Julien and Vadim Fishkin. In 2015 he was awarded the EXIT prize. His works have been exhibited in the "Start-Up" cycle at the Prague City Gallery and in the "SKIP the LINE! Populizm i obietnice współczesności at the Warsaw Biennial in Poland. Jiří Žák is a member of the collective Studio without Master. He works for Artyčok TV and the National Film Archive in Prague. (2023)
