Although he began working as an electronics specialist on the ANS, he never created a finished opus in the field of electronic music. He entered computer music from structural musicology. He thinks highly of using a speech synthesizer in computer music. His basic interests in the sphere of musicology are tonality, Estonian music of the 1960s and acoustics.
