Kati Horna (1912-2000) was a Budapest-born photographer who participated in the civil war in Spain and was member of anarchistic groups like Mujeres Libres or Tierra y Libertad. She emigrated to Mexico in 1939 where she was part of surrealists circles and teaching photography at the Nacional de Artes Plásticas school and at the Universidad Iberoamericana. [1]
