'''Karla Jasso''' (1976, Guadalajara) holds a Ph.D. in Art History from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Her research focuses on the history of technology, the language of media and its manifestations in contemporary art practices. Jasso is member of the curatorial and programming committee at MUAC, University Museum of Contemporary Art, Mexico City. Between 2001 and 2003 she was a researcher in the area of “Archives of Contemporary Art” at the INAH, Paris (Institut National d’Historie de l’Art) with a grant from the “Amérique Latine” Getty program. From 2007 to 2013 she was Chief Curator at Laboratorio Arte Alameda, National Institute of Fine Arts, INBA. Jasso co-curated Dynamic (In)Position, an exhibition organized in collaboration with Ars Electronica (Austria), held at Laboratorio Arte Alameda, Centro Cultural de España and the MUAC (2010). She also directed (Ready) Media: Towards an Archaeology of Media and Invention in Mexico, a project that involved an exhibition, a series of audiovisual material and a publication on electronic arts and archaeology of the media in Mexico.
