Coming from former East Germany near the border to Poland and Czech Republic. Educated as a fashion and as a media designer, in 1995 she started with her first documentary film production at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. Over 8 years she worked in Cologne and later also in Berlin as an editor, designer and producer for public and private TV channels and several production companies.
From 2003 she is working in Berlin as an independent filmmaker and producer, with projects focussed on the border Poland-Czech Republic-Germany. She works between Berlin and Oslo.
