Anna Zielinska
Born 1977 in Poznan. Graduate of the Academy of Music in Poznan. She is a young violinist who has been giving concerts as a soloist, a musician of chamber ensembles and symphony orchestras. Since 2000 she was playing as a member of the Bayerische Rundfunk Orchesterakademie conducted by Maestro Mstislav Rostropovich, the Eastern Festival Orchestra in Bayreuth (2002), the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra (2002/03), the RIAS Jugendorchester (2003) and the Nationaal Jeugd Orkest (2003-04). In March 2005 she was admitted into the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra again to take part in concert tours thorought Europe and Asia. Since 2000 the violinist has been cooperating with the Dresdner Sinfoniker. In 2001 she was a co-author of the theatre spectacle "The Opening of the Seal" at the Fama Festival in Swinoujscie which was awarded Grand Prix of the Festival. She is particularly fond of improvisatory music and skilled in the art of improvisation. In 2001 she was a stipendist of the German musicFabrik Ensemble and she participated in Eearle Brown's Open Form Workshop in Heek. Engaged in the creation of experimental improvisatory music based on a variety of sound sources, she collaborates with Izabella Gustowska, the actor Janusz Stolarski and with Tadeusz Wierzbicki and his "Laboratory of Appearances". She is the author and the peformer of concert series called ElectromAnia Project aimed to propagate the violin and electroacustic music including premiere perfomances of Polish and international compositions. In June 2004 she has received a scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Culture.
As a solist she has participated in many festivals, in the season 2004/0 a.o. Gelderse Muziek Zomer (The Netherlands), Zda/erzenia - Bydgoszcz, Biennale - Lodz, In Progress - Centre for Contemporary Art Laznia, Gdansk, 3rd International Linux Audio Conference - ZKM Karlsruhe (Germany), Musica Moderna - Lodz, Musica Electronica Nova - Wrocław (within the 8th Polish Radio Music Festival), XVI Festival Forfest (Czech Republic). In November 2005 she will be performing the ElectromAnia Project in Chile.
