Lim Kyung yong
Kyung Yong LIM (임경용) majored in film studies and film producing at the Korea National University of Arts and Korea Academy of Film Arts. He founded a small publishing company called mediabus in 2007. Then in 2010, he opened The Book Society, a book store and project space where he has promoted books on art and independent publications on various subjects. He is the Editor in Chief of the Book Society series and a co-editor of the journal 00document. The latter is a non-periodical journal that offers a reportage of autonomous projects and activities initiated in the city. He has planned and/or curated numerous exhibitions and projects about publishing, including Typojanchi 2013 (Culture Station Seoul 284, 2013), Xerox Project (Namjune Paik Art Center, 2015), Artists' Documents: Art, Typography and Collaboration (co-curated, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, 2016), Incomplete List (Ilmin Museum, 2016), Incomplete List Beijing (Paperlogue Beijing, 2016), and Common Library (Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, 2017). Lim has also translated a number of books, including Radical Museology: Or What's Contemporary in Museums of Contemporary Art (Claire Bishop, Hyunsil Books, 2016) and Post-Digital Print (Alessandro Ludovico, Mediabus, 2017). He lives in Seoul.
