Born 1923 in Zagreb. Died 2004 in Munich. Studied at the Akademija likovnih umjetnosti u Zagrebu, Zagreb (1942–1949). 1950–1956 founding member of Exat 51. 1959 founded a school for animation film. 1954–1959 lived in Chile. 1963 moved to Munich. 1979–1997 taught at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg. From 1997 lived in southern France.
