Monica Bello
Mónica Bello is an independent curator and art critic with expertise in art and science.
From March 2015 she is the new head of Arts@CERN, a multidisciplinary art program hosted by the CERN in Geneva which promotes collaborations between artists and scientists.
Between 2010 and 2015 she was artistic director of VIDA, the international competition for art and artificial art, founded by Fundacion Telefonica in Madrid.
Previously she was head of education at LABoral Centro de Arte (Gijón, Spain). She founded several programs and curatorial platforms such as Capsula or Res-qualia in Barcelona (Spain), or Biorama in Huddersfield (United Kingdom). She is member of the board of trustees of Fundacion Laboral Centro de Arte. She participates regularly in advisory commitees, reviewing committees and juries worldwide and she dedicates her research to the most experimental forms of art and emerging cultural practises.
